Norwood partitioning system has been designed to create and redevelop patient-centred spaces fast and efficiently whilst combining aesthetics, functionality and regulatory compliance.
Our modular wall and ceiling system offers many advantages to the Healthcare sector. The modular spaces enable easy upgrades, even when more complex remodelling is required. Utilising prefabricated construction helps achieve flexibility whilst combining patient comfort and safety with regulatory compliance. Our partitions allow integration of all services; their locations can be pre-planned during the design phase and prefabricated before delivery to the site. The prefabrication reduces on-site installation time considerably; some of the integrated services have included surgeons panels, outpatient bed head units, and back-painted glass with images. Additionally, the system is finished with a PVC laminate resistant to most hazardous chemicals and cleaning products, which means the walling system finish will not deteriorate over time like many other products available on the market. We encourage our clients to engage with Norwood in even the earliest planning stages as our in-house design team can suggest or develop the most suitable solution, working collaboratively with architects, end users and contractors.
Our products undergo extensive laboratory tests, to achieve the best air permeability, acoustic and fire ratings, VHP resistance and the partition finish efficiency against various microorganisms
All products are fabricated at our factory in Stockport, which enables us to meet even the most challenging programmes
Unique in the industry, demountable lead for radiation shieldings
As part of an extensive refurbishment scheme to modernise and transform Glasgow Royal Infirmary University Tower, Norwood were specified by architects Armitage Associates in partnership with main contractors Balfour Beatty Scottish and Southern Ltd. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde commissioned the £12.5 million project to significantly improve efficiency within the University Tower. The transformation saw the building include state-of-the-art laboratory analysing equipment, as well as a plant room and an impressive glazed vertical ‘eyebrow’, which was installed on the north elevation to enable hospital staff spectacular views of the city within dedicated break-out zones.
Norwood were involved at an early stage in the design process and successfully developed a unique internal wall lining system which allowed the interior of the building to be upgraded whilst reflecting the features of the building exterior.
