The Manor Road Building at the University of Oxford is home to several units of the Social Sciences Division which also houses the unified Social Science Library. Designed by award-winning architect Sir Norman Foster, Manor Road Building offers an impressive modern backdrop for conferences and events.
Having worked with Fosters and Partners on several projects they approached Norwood once again at the feasibility stage to design the interior partitioning systems based on our standard products. We were happy with overall concept and developed the system that was our Ultra 100. Norwood worked closely with the Design partners to develop a truly flush glazed solution with true architectural features whilst maintaining the acoustic regime and lasting flexibility of an evolving space. The full height door units were manufactured to an oversize bespoke specification to offer balance to the overall scheme.
