Having a strong reputation for developing innovative design-led partitioning solutions, Norwood was given the challenge of creating an acoustically sealed teaching pod area within the iconic Roundhouse grade II listed building at Derby College. The project was commissioned in consultation with Bowmer & Kirkland and Maber Architects. 

Sainsbury's Centre for Visual Arts

Sainsbury's Centre for Visual Arts

The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts was designed by Foster & Partners and commissioned by main contractor Kier Eastern. The brief was to replace 30-year-old partitioning with a system capable of fitting in with a visually aesthetic solution which was in-keeping with the existing architectural style.

The Manor Road Building is home to several units of the Social Sciences Division and also houses the unified Social Science Library. Designed by award-winning architect Sir Norman Foster, Manor Road Building offers an impressive modern backdrop for conferences and events. 

AMRC

AMRC

During 2011 Norwood were appointed to work on part of a major investment programme by the University of Sheffield. Appointed by architect Bond Bryan and main contractor ISG, to develop a 'Factory of the Future', Norwood assisted in the development of an Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) in South Yorkshire.

Norwood were able to use their solid expertise in controlled environment cleanrooms to design and develop a range of bespoke steel partitioning solutions for the AMRC’s Composite Centre.

Leicester University

Leicester University

Norwood worked alongside architect Capita and main contractor Willmott Dixon, utilising the strength of its experience and reputation in delivering bespoke cleanroom installations. Norwood’s mediline system was tailored to suit the individual requirements of the end user and incorporated modular size panels, glazed panels and doorsets.
