Main Contractor: EECO2
End User: Cambridge Pharma
Cambridge Pharma is a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) set up to help pharma and biotech companies meet critical deadlines by offering a fast, flexible sterile filling service. They required a state-of-the-art cGMP facility to provide the highest levels of sterility assurance and quality control, supporting drug product development.
The project comprised the design and fit out of an existing warehouse to create purpose-built cGMP sterile filling rooms, a packing room, a process development pilot laboratory and a cGMP analytical laboratory.
Norwood worked collaboratively with the main contractor, EECO2 from design stages to installation and commissioning. As part of our scope, we provided the fully flush customizable partitions of various thicknesses, full-height glazing, walk-on and metal pan ceilings as well as doors to form 1000sqm cleanrooms and laboratory areas.
Working with our structural engineering partner, our team designed and constructed a sub grid supporting M&E services and a metal pan suspended ceiling. Norwood also developed a number of bespoke solutions, including a walk-on-ceiling inclusive of a Q-clamp handrail system and twin walls housing pass through hatches in grade C cleanroom areas.
Every aspect of the facility has been designed to enable speed and flexibility while maintaining strict contamination control and the highest levels of quality assurance. Our modular system enabled the creation of dynamic spaces that can be adapted in response to the client’s changing needs.
Working with architects, main contractors and end-users, we deliver bespoke and performance-driven cleanroom systems, tailored to the specific needs of each client.
